Description:

Hi my name is Nemo and I’m looking for a home with my friend Marlin. We are both young adult males who came in to the shelter as strays a couple of months ago, we arrived within a week of each other and once neutered we were mixed together to become best friends.

I was found in someone’s garden and Marlin was found at the bottom of an empty swimming pool after possibly being trapped in there for days. I’m the more confident out of the two of us but we are both still quite shy around people so would like new owners that are happy to do lots of handling with us and help build our confidence.

We both have really lovely temperaments once we come out of our shell. We would be happy to live with other ferrets as long as we are introduced slowly but we cannot be mixed with other pets.

We could live with children who are confident around us and who will respect that we will need our space until we get comfortable. We can live indoors and outdoors and will need a nice cage and an exercise run/free roam of the house so we can spend at least an hour each day out of our cage. We love exploring different levels and will need lots of enrichment to keep us entertained. We are quite large ferrets which means there is more of us to love.

We’ve had a chat with Cheech, Chong and Klaus and they said ferrets aren’t very popular pets over here as they have been here almost a year with no interest. I do hope we will find a home as even though it’s nice here a home of our own sounds perfect.

If you are interested in us you will need to bring in proof of address from the last two months and if you live in rented accommodation then please bring in landlord permission.
