Stripes (Rehomed)

6 Years Old

Domestic Shorthair

Hi my name is Stripes and I’m a bit of a special boy. I am 6 year old boy who is looking for new very special owners who have a lot of confidence around cats who may not have the best manners. I came in to the shelter 4 months ago as unfortunately my old family had children and that’s something I was very unhappy about.

It upset the family a lot to give me up but they definitely did the right thing for me as I became very unhappy in the home. I’m looking for a very quiet home with no children however I would love to live with other cats and I’m happy to live with dogs too! I can get overwhelmed when it comes to getting attention, I’m still getting used to being stroked but I’m definitely getting better than when I first arrived.

I love treats and playing with toys – this is the way to my heart and the things that make me very happy. I need owners who are happy to put up with my temper tantrums when I first start to settle in to a new home, I promise it will be very rewarding adopting me as I’m really starting to show my happy side and will make a lovely pet over time. I will be very nervous when you first meet me and may not let you touch me, you may even get a hiss, but please don’t let this put you off.

You will need to come and visit me quite a few times before taking me so we can get to know each other really well. I need outdoor space to explore once I am confident enough to leave my new home. I’m told that I might not be very popular because of my colour and because I’m not a kitten. People don’t often want the naughty cats but I think they make the best pets!

If you would be interested in giving me a perfect home then please come and see me, you will need proof of address and will need proof of landlord permission if you live in rented accommodation.
