This Privacy Notice sets out how the JSPCA uses and protects any information that you give the JSPCA when you use any of our services.
The JSPCA is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that your data is stored and processed in a secure manner. What we collect

- Where applicable, all details pertaining to the animal, including history and veterinary details.
- Financial information, including bank details
- Other information relevant to JSPCA customer Which could include for example; confirmation from Social Security of Income support entitlement and/or landlord permission for an animal to be homed in rented premises.
What we do with the information we gather
The JSPCA require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record
- Correspondence to further identify service
- We may use the information to improve our products, services and website.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about events, special offers or other information, which we think may interest you using the contact details which you have
- We may contact you by email, telephone, fax or mail.
Only staff members, employed by the JSPCA located in Jersey, Channel Islands, will have access to collect and process your personal data for the purposes that have been specified in this privacy notice. We will store your personal data on record and process it in accordance with this privacy notice. We will never share your data without your permission. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission, or are required by law to do so.
Data Retention for clients
We will retain your personal data on record in accordance with this privacy notice for 10 years after the relationship has terminated or 10 years following client relationship dormancy.
Members of the JSPCA Data
Only the Administrator, the Financial Controller, management and the Committee Members of the JSPCA located in Jersey, Channel Islands, will process data of the members of the JSPCA for the purposes that have been specified in this privacy notice. We will never share your data without your permission. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission, or are required by law to do so.
Data Retention for Members
If you do not renew your membership your data will be deleted within 6 months from the start of the year in question.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
