Wildlife volunteers

Could you be a wildlife volunteer?

The busy wildlife season is just around the corner and we are looking for seasonal wildlife volunteers to help and support the JSPCA Clinic team in rehabilitating injured, sick and orphaned wildlife.

We have numerous vacancies available and, as this is seasonal, we would be looking for volunteers to start in April and be able to reliably dedicate their time to volunteer regularly until September.

This volunteer role will suit people who have a friendly, enthusiastic and compassionate manner and enjoy working within a small team.  No prior experience or knowledge is required as full training will be given. However, we do ask that you are enthusiastic, have a love for local Jersey wildlife, and don’t mind getting a bit dirty!

 What’s involved?

  • Cleaning out and feeding animals in wildlife enclosures (inside and outside)
  • Hand feeding orphaned birds/mammals
  • Washing up, keeping the animal rooms clean and tidy, mopping floors
  • and much more!

If you feel you can support the JSPCA by offering your time to volunteer with the wildlife then please fill in an application form here: 2021 Volunteer Application Form

If you have already filled in an application form to volunteer and wish to also apply for this volunteering position then please email jenna@jspca.org.je expressing your interest.
