Hello!! My name is Almond. The team at the JSPCA aren’t sure exactly how old I am but I am an adult syrian female hamster looking for a new home

I arrived at the JSPCA a little nervous and a bit unsure of humans. However, after lots of time and patience from the staff I am slowly coming out of my shell and enjoying gentle handling with the help of some of my favourite treats!

Ideally I would like an experienced owner who has dealt with nervous hamsters before, but fear not if I’d be your first hammy, my new friends at the JSPCA have said they’re more than happy to give advice on the best way to make friends with me.

I need to live in a multi level cage, as I’m very active, with lots of enrichment and toys to keep me occupied!

If you are interested in adopting me then you will need to bring in proof of address from the past 2 months and landlord permission if you’re in rented accommodation. The staff will need to see photos of the set up you have to make sure it’s the perfect home for me.

I am a minimum adoption fee of £10. Look forward to meeting you!
