We are looking for a home for a very special rabbit in our care called Bailey. She is a 9 month old female lionhead lop rabbit

When Bailey first arrived at the Shelter, she hated being picked up (like most rabbits) but she was more difficult than others and she didn’t like people coming into her space to clean it

Staff have worked on building her trust, giving her space when she needs it and finding alternative ways to move her when needed, such as for visits to the Vet

Bailey is sensitive about having people in her living space so would need a large space so that she doesn’t feel worried when you go in to clean her and feed her as she is able to move away from you if she feels worried

She needs owners who will be patient and give her time to settle into her new home. Bailey can live with children aged 12 years + dependent on introductions at the JSPCA, and parents would need to be the main carer for Bailey as any cleaning and handling needs to be done following the methods used at the Shelter that seem to have suited Bailey and made her a more content rabbit

Once Bailey knows you, she loves a good nose scratch and will come lay next to you
We have made a lot of progress with her using vegetables as she’s thankfully in love with food

If you are interested in Bailey, please fill out an application online or pop in and fill one out: https://jspca.org.je/2019/07/15/adopt-another-animal/

We will also need Landlord’s permission if you are living in rented accommodation, as well as proof of address from the last two months

Lastly, we’ll need to see pictures of your cage/set up

Bailey is a minimum donation of £60 to the JSPCA
