Oden is a very sweet male Lesser Sulfur crested cockatoo of 5 years old looking for a new home

As you can see by his picture Oden suffers from feather plucking, after numerous tests by his previous vets and the JSPCA vets it is most likely due to stress. Oden has been in three homes before coming to the JSPCA through no fault of his own but I think you’ll agree this lovely young cockatoo now needs a home that will be his forever home.

We therefore ask for people to apply only if they know they can give Oden a happy home for the next 45 years he may still have. Oden loves company and gets very stressed and destructive when he’s alone and will start plucking his feathers so we need a home where he is only left for short periods of time.

Cockatoos are intelligent and Oden will need lots of enrichment and toys to keep his mind busy. Oden loves coming out of his cage and despite his lack of feathers he can fly very well in safe enclosed rooms. Oden has learnt to greet people with “hello” or “Hi” and to say “goodbye” when people leave. He can say “cuddles”, “peek a boo” and “what are you doing.” Oden will dance and sing with you and will sit by you when relaxing.

Oden could live with another cockatoo and children over the age of 8 as long as they are supervised whilst with Oden.

The staff will ask you for proof of address from the past 2 months and landlords permission (if you’re in rented accommodation). The staff will also need to see photos of Oden’s cage to ensure it’s the perfect home for him 🤗
