Tora (Rehomed)

Hi everyone

my name is Tora and I’m currently the Shelter’s longest feline resident, arriving nearly 130 days ago back in November

I arrived in a very bad way! The staff originally thought I had been attacked by a dog as I had no fur and very sore skin all round my neck, but they found out it was self inflicted because of a skin problem I had that hadn’t been treated

It’s a been a long journey from when I first came in to now but my skin is looking so much better and I’ve even grown all my fur back

Now I’m all better, I’m looking for my forever home

I’m 10 years old and full of personality. I love nothing more than snuggling up on someone’s lap and having head strokes. I can have a bit of a feisty side when it comes to picking me up or over-handling me, which is probably because I have arthritis in my spine, so too much handling can be quite painful for me. I constantly have my tongue sticking out of my mouth which makes me look very cute (even if it means I drool quite a lot)!

I do come with some medical problems. You know about my skin allergies (which is kept under control with special food and medication) and my arthritis, but I also have some bumps under my tongue. They aren’t affecting me at the minute but that potentially could change in the future.

Because of all these things, I need to be an indoor cat, but that’s fine with me as my favourite thing to do is snooze

Altogether I am a very loving cat who wants a quiet home with no other animals or children as I always need to be the centre of attention!

If you are interested in adopting me then you will need to bring in proof of address from the past 2 months and Landlord’s permission if you’re in rented accommodation. The staff will need to do a virtual video home visit to make sure it’s the perfect home for me.
