Colin (Reserved)

1 – 3 years old

Domestic Shorthair

Hi my name is Colin, you may remember me from back in February when I came in as a very scared stray. I’ve been here 106 days (4 months) I’m finally ready to start looking for my forever home.

It’s been a long and tough journey for me and the staff as I have taken a long time to realise that I actually quite like humans. I was a terrified reck when I first came in, I was untouchable and didn’t want to know anyone. The staff have sat with me every single day for months putting up with my hissing, smacking and nipping they’ve won me over with food and cuddles. I’m now the biggest attention seeker ever, I love giving head butts and rolling over for a stroke. I’m still very nervous around loud noises and quick movements but I’m slowly getting there with my confidence. I may still give a hiss and a bat when you come in to meet me but it will be followed by purring and cuddles.

The staff think I’m between 1-3 years old and very handsome! I’m a healthy boy who just needs someone to help build up my confidence as this may be my first ever home. I need to live in a home with children 16+ and no dogs as they are super scary however I can live with other cats and it would be quite nice to have a feline friend to keep me company. The staff are amazed with my progress and are really excited to fine me the best home possible.

Potential owners will have to come meet me a few times so I can get used to you and feel more comfortable. I will need outdoor access in my new home for when I’m ready to explore once I’m settled in. I’m a special boy who will make the best pet ever I promise!

If you are interested in adopting me then you will need to bring in proof of address from the past 2 months and landlord permission if you’re in rented accommodation. The staff will need to come round to your house for a visit to make sure it’s the perfect home for me.

I am a minimum donation of £100 (which I am definitely worth!) I am microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.

This is one of our hand raised magpie who was brought into shelter with another baby after falling out of the nest.

Unfortunately 1 was dead on arrival but this little one made it. The photos show him on arrival, 1 week later and then 2 weeks later. 😍🐾 #loveourjob #wildlife
