The JSPCA is now offering a bespoke Canine First Aid Course for Pet Professionals and Dog Owners

What will you learn?

  • Recognising an emergency
  • What to do in an emergency
  • Preparing for an emergency
  • Contents of Pet First Aid Kit and their usage
  • Recovery Position
  • Common situations for first aid, the clinical signs and what first aid measures to take
  • How to check a dog’s vital signs
  • CPR

Who can attend?

Anyone is welcome to attend. This bespoke course is aimed at helping Pet Professionals and Dog Owners understand common canine first aid situations they may encounter and what first aid measures they should take.

How much is the course?

£45. All of the money raised goes towards helping fund the work the JSPCA carries our for the domestic and wild animals of Jersey.

Who is the course taught by and will I get a certificate?

The course is taught by one of the JSPCA’s Registered Veterinary Nurses and a certificate will be provided at the end of the course to show your attendance and completion.

Where is the course held?

The 2-hour course is held at the JSPCA Animals’ Shelter main site on St Saviour’s road.
