Murphy is a 1 year old miniature labradoodle who is looking for a quiet, safe place to call home.

Once he gets to know you, he is such a sweet and cuddly lap dog and would love to be someone’s centre of attention. He is a very smart boy who enjoys learning new things, and loves enriching puzzle feeders and cardboard boxes with lots of treats inside!

He likes exploring on his walks but prefers them at quiet times as he can sometimes find the world a little overwhelming. He can be nervous of some dogs but our team will show you how to work through this using his favourite treats to make him feel more comfortable.

He is nervous of strangers, especially those entering his safe space like coming into his home, so he has been undergoing training to help with introductions and how to best manage this going forward. This training will need to be continued in his forever home. Unfortunately he is unable to live with children but could potentially live with another calm dog, depending on introductions. He would be happy to be left for a maximum of 4 hours at a time once settled.

His wonderfully curly coat will need regular grooming, using some treats to make sure he is comfortable. He would also benefit from visits to a groomer who understands that he may need some breaks and will take the time to get to know his needs.

If you have already completed a form within the last year, please contact us if you are interested in rehoming Murphy. The team at the JSPCA have loads of application forms to get through, so we will only be able to get in touch with you if you’re a suitable match. We will need proof of address from the past 2 months and Landlord’s permission if you live in rented accommodation.
